To further complicate my problem the has HD onboard, which makes a second instance of Microsoft UAA HD Audio driver in the device manager, and also tries to find drivers for bits of it’s audio hardware.
I removed the optional USB and Bracket and connectors. I ended up downloading audio drivers from the MSI site, however they also would not install with the ” ” error message.
Realtek driver looks to be properly installed, you should have sound. You did a fresh installation of Windows with the new build?

This motherboard o9a2 almost everything a person needs, except perhaps a Port 80 card which would have been a nice added touch.
In our experience with the MSI K9A2 Platinum we found it’s passive chipset solution quite effective at keeping temperatures in check. Remove devices with yellow mark and reboot.
